A Little About Our Prints

Our giclée fine art prints are produced on acid-free papers using archival inks to guarantee that they last a lifetime without fading or loss of color. All paper prints include a 1" (one inch) white border around the image to allow for future matting and framing if desired. Canvas prints have a 2" (two inch) mirrored edge enabling the print to be stretched to your preference. All of our prints are produced on state-of-the-art, professional-grade Epson printers. Paper Type

Velvet Fine Art Paper ~ Images are highly detailed on this acid-free, cotton rag paper perfect for archival fine art reproduction. The velvet surface is a favorite of photographers and artists alike offering a unique museum quality feel. This paper print includes a 1" (one inch) white border around the image to allow for future matting and framing. Ships in a protective tube or box.

Cold Press Watercolor Fine Art Paper ~ Images are highly detailed in a watercolor textured matte finish. A print of a watercolor painting on this type of paper looks very close to the original. This paper print includes a 1" (one inch) white border around the image to allow for future matting and framing. Ships in a protective tube or box.

Hahnemuhle Daguerre Fine Art Rolled Canvas ~  Images are highly detailed on this superior quality canvas. Hahnemuhle Daguerre Fine Art Canvas meets the most exacting requirements in terms of quality and age resistance. The rolled fine art canvas giclée print is not stretched over wood bars.  The canvas print has a 2" (two inch) mirrored edge allowing it to be stretched on wooden bars. The artwork image is mirrored onto the sides of the canvas enabling the canvas to either be 1) stretched as a standard wrap and placed in a frame or 2) stretched as a gallery wrap and hung on the wall with no frame (although some people do frame gallery wraps). Hahnemuhle Daguerre Fine Art Canvas produces clean, fresh colors, fine details, and reproductions that are rich in contrast. A print of an oil painting on this type of canvas looks very close to the original. Ships in a protective tube.

Print and Frame Sizes

Print Sizes

The print size (Height x Width) determines the frame size. Paper and standard-wrapped canvas prints can and should be framed to enhance and protect the print. Gallery-wrapped prints are typically hung unframed but can be framed in a traditional or floating frame.

Frame Sizes

The purpose of a frame should be to focus the attention on the artwork as well as protect it from environmental factors that could affect its appearance over time. Framing is an art in itself and choosing the right frame can greatly enhance your artwork. Read more about how to select a frame for your print.

Standard US print sizes will accommodate standard US frame sizes (refer to the Standard US Size Chart below). Standard size frames are ready-made, mass produced with simple materials, and less expensive than custom frames, thus easy on the budget. Custom picture frames, on the other hand, are entirely hand-made to each customer's unique specifications and typically much more beautiful in how they embellish and compliment the painting.  Additionally, a custom frame will always present you with more options and better-quality materials than a ready-made frame. For custom frames, there are a lot of options to play around with and the cost of certain treatments and services will add up differently depending on the specifics of what you need.  If your focus is on beautiful quality or your print is an investment, consider purchasing a custom-made frame.
